1)      You are from?

A: Somewhere in New York State

2)      When and why and did you start rapping?

A: First I started doing freestyle tapes (actual off the top of the head freestyles on cassettes) w/ my cousin. Then I got an electric keyboard for Christmas and started making beats. I would play them for people at school, but no one really wanted to listen to just the beats, so I started writing raps and recording them over my own beats.

3)      What do you think about hip-hop and where it’s going?

A: The underground scene is looking real strong right now

4)      Who are your 3 favorite hip-hop artists?

A: I’ll answer this based on who was the most influential to molding my style, since I have too many favorites…

·        Juvenile/Mannie Fresh- The 400 Degreez album made me want to make my own beats

·        Kanye West- Seeing someone else that could make beats and rap and do each well inspired me

·        Little Brother- Self explanatory

5)      Who would you say are the best 3 artist out right now?

       A:

·        Kanye West

·        Curren$y

·        Can’t pick a third I haven’t really had my ear out for anything else

6)      Who inspires or inspired your rapping?

A: Everyone from the worst of rappers to the best of rappers

7)      Pick one word that describes your style?

A: Versatile

8)      What makes Black Ice unique? And what is your goal in the group?

A:

·        Each member brings their own unique style to the table

·        Goal: make the best music possible

9)      Why did you pick the stage name you have, and what does it symbolize?

A: I was originally M-Cap The Animal, but I was hassled into changing it so I decided to go w/ Mr. Capers

10)  Who is Mr. Capers?

A: A man who’s not afraid to do what he wants and take care of business at the same time.

Mr. Capers is one of the co-founders of Black Ice Entertainment and has two official
released mixtapes, "Major Glory" and "The Outlet," both completely produced by Capers
himself. Mr. Capers is currently working on several projects, including the total
production of the Black Ice Symphony mixtape as well as Prophecy's Artosphere
mixtape. He also has two mixtapes coming out within the new year, Taking Off and the
